Buying a TV – 6 Tips to Consider
There are so many televisions on the market that you might not know where to start. We’ve discussed everything to consider to choose the right one. One thing is most important that if you want to buy through instalment then check layaway tvs options. Read ahead for more details on how to buy the best non smart tv
Size
Who would want a small TV? The larger the screen, the better you would immerse in whatever you’re watching. Although large TVs are great, there is a logistics problem. You might not have enough room to place an 80-inch television.
Even if there is enough space, the television won’t magically appear and install itself. You might find it hard to bring home.
Price
You don’t need us to tell you that the devices can be very expensive. If you don’t have the cash to purchase them upfront, you could buy them on layaway. You would pay 2-3 instalments to then get a hold of the item. Layaway TVs are better than hire purchase. You won’t have to pay interest.
Layaway is great. However, you might not be a fan of having to wait until you pay the instalments to get your purchase. That’s why you might be a fan of hire purchase, even though you would be paying interest.
Do you not want to spend so much on a TV? No one would blame you, as they can be expensive. Wait till Cyber Monday. Electronics would go on sale – you could get up to 70% off.
Resolution
A large display with a sharp resolution is the best. Pictures would be crisp. 8K televisions are the sharpest. As they cost a lot, you might be more comfortable buying a 4K alternative. If that’s out of your budget too, you could purchase an HD TV. Just know that it would noticeably not be as crisp as 4Kor 8K counterparts.
Fortunately, 4K TVs are becoming the standard. More affordable alternatives are coming with the display type.
Refresh Rate
The refresh rate is how many times a second the screen would refresh. It is counted in HZ and is usually 60 Hz (60 times a second). Your TV’s refresh rate would influence how smooth pictures would be. More expensive options are 240 HZ.
Smart TV
Smart TVs are worth the cash. You would be able to sit back and relax and watch your favourite Netflix shows. As you can imagine, however, smart televisions would be the most expensive.
If you don’t have the cash, you could compromise. Install a smart decoder on the television. It would act as a hub that would let you access the internet.
HDMI Port
This may not seem important to you. But the presence of an HDMI cable would be important. You would be able to plug in a computer and use the television as a second monitor whenever you want.
There is a lot to keep in mind when purchasing a television. One of the most important points would be to be wary of the size of device you get. Although you may want an 82-inch television, it might be too big for your home. Moreover, it may be too hard to bring home.
