No doubt that, along with other events, the NBA is also a significant and vital one. Due to this, bettors sometimes take it lightly and underestimate it but hardly realize that the road and journey to the NBA are not that easy.
It takes years of hardcore dedication, focus, and hard work for you to reach your final destination. One small error and you are out of it. It is better that you start paying attention to it as otherwise, you will get undrafted.
Every year, numerous players went undrafted for one or the other reason. But getting undrafted does not mean that they are worthless. Let’s learn about some of the undrafted NBA players and the contributions made by them.

David Wesley
Before signing a contract with the New Jersey nets, he gave his one year to the continental basketball association. Not only this, but he also served as a solid combo guard in the 14 seasons of the NBA. He was also a great defender. In all the ten consecutive seasons he played, he scored in double figures.
Bruce Bowen
Even after becoming eligible for the NBA draft, no franchise picked him, and he took many years to make his NBA debut. He was so bent upon playing basketball overseas that he barely played with the Miami Heat. His career was not going well in those times, and then Spurs signed him. He turned into a solid defender for them but lacked offensive skills. All the three championships which Spurs won were all due to him. But at last, he also went undrafted.
Avery Johnson
He is known less for play and more for coaching purposes. But it does not mean that he was a bad player because he was not at all bad. In total, he gave his 16 years to the NBA and also had brief stints with NBA teams. Then he won a championship with the Spurs, which is regarded as his most productive year.
Most people think about undrafted NBA players because they do not play much and have topsy turvy career curves, but this is not true. He, in his career, went on to play 1054 games and also achieved a record.
Ben Wallace
In the history of undrafted NBA players, Ben Wallace is the most successful one. Upon looking at his journey, you’ll find out that it’s an impressive one. He achieved the defensive player of the year awards and appeared in 4 all-star games in his career. Later on, he cracked a contract with the Washington Bullets, but it is with the Detroit Pistons if we talk about his excellent basketball performance.
Jeremy Lin
He also went undrafted after serving for four seasons at Harvard. Later on, the Dallas Mavericks invited him to join them as a part of a summer league team. He also entered into a two-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, but unfortunately, he injured his knee. Owing to the uncertainty of the game, he would only opt to play a few games only. He played for three seasons before signing the contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. Consequently, he also went undrafted later on despite his significant contribution.
