Many of us don’t know how to properly pack our fashion jewelry pieces. This can lead to necklaces getting twisted, rings losing their place, and even broken bracelets. These tangles can be managed with some tricks and tips.
1. Jewellery
To carry your fashion jewellery, start with a beautiful jewellery roll made of silk or fluffy cotton. It is easy to carry a few pieces of jewelry on your trip in a well-designed roll.
The best thing about the jewellery roll is its limited space.
Layout all your fashion jewellery and roll the towel. You have a DIY jewellery roll. Tie it at the ends.
2. Jewellery Pouch
Do you have a silk jewellery pouch? If yes, then you can easily use them to pack your fashion jewellery. Put your earrings (on buttons) into this bag, knot it with a chain, and you’re ready to go.
3. Plastic Quart Bag
Do you still have the plastic bags you used to receive when you bought fashion jewellery online? You can save them for traveling to keep your fashion jewellery safe. To avoid tangling, place one piece of jewelry in each bag. Transfer all small plastic bags to a larger ziplock bag. Visit your local craft shop if you don’t have any small plastic bags in stock.
Although it isn’t high-tech, it has many advantages: You can see all your accessories at once and the bag locks quickly. It’s also durable and long-lasting. Plastic bags can be quickly replaced.
4. Jewellery Box
Do you travel with a lot of fashion jewellery? To keep your jewellery safe and tidy while on the road, you can use a jewelry box. You won’t feel tempted to take all your jewellery with you.
A travel case specifically designed for jewellery is a good idea if you are a frequent traveler. You should be able to organize your pieces of jewellery in a decent travel box.
5. Seal Wraps
Another DIY way to arrange your jewelry is by using plastic seals. Put your jewellery on a piece Press’ n Seal, and then cover it with another piece. Seal it. Voila! Now you are all set!
This is an excellent way to avoid having your necklaces twisted up in a jewelry case. It would help you keep everything in their order.
6. Pill Box
A pillbox can be used to separate small valuables. They are ideal for holding small necklaces, earrings, and fashion bracelets for women. Fashion jewellery can be kept tangle-free and organized by only placing one item (or an earring pair) in a case. Tiny studs can become bent or lost if they are not kept in a small suitcase. All your jewellery will be in one place because the boxes are connected.
7. Straw
Slide one end of your necklace through a straw and lock the loop to keep it tangle-free. To keep your necklaces secure and safe, place all the straws in a toothbrush holder. Do you have a chunky necklace? To follow the same procedure, use a paper tube to go to the bathroom.
8. Postcard
Travelling can cause earrings to disappear. To avoid this, you can attach your earrings to a piece of paper or a postcard. Secure them in a plastic bag. Wrap the card in tissue or paper for extra security before you put it in the bag.
9. Eyeglass Cases
Many people have an eyeglass case that is barely used. A well-used eyeglass case can be useful in keeping fashion jewellery safe. It is both hard on the outside, and tissue-lined inside. Contact cases can also be reused if you bring only a few stud earrings.
It can also be used to store small quantities of liquids such as night creams or expensive serums.
10. Buttons
The best way to organize earrings is with buttons. This method allows you to keep pairs of earrings together while on the move or at home. Pair your earrings through the holes, especially larger buttons, and seal the backs. Only one pair per button. For extra protection, place the buttons that you don’t want in a ziplock bag. You can also bundle them in thin fabric to protect them while packing for your trip. This is one of my favorite accessories travel tips!
This button trick can also be used in conjunction with other managers such as the pillbox, fashion jewellery box, or jewellery roll. It would be convenient to use the buttons of your earrings to lock those tiny studs.
11. Paper Plate
You can store your jewellery on the go or at home with disposable plates.
Place the earrings on one plate. Make holes at the sides for your necklaces or bangles. To keep your items safe during transit, place the plate in a zipper bag or another packing organizer. It creates a mini jewellery display when you travel.
12. Tackle Boxes
A fishing tackle box is similar to a pill container but has dividers that are perfect for fashion jewellery. Tackle boxes work well for larger, chunkier necklaces and bracelets.
13. Snack cups for small children
If you have small children, you’ll likely have a variety of small, sealed plastic bowls and snack cups. These are perfect for holding single earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.
14. Safety pins
Safety pins are a true friend for women in times when their wardrobes have gone sour. These safety pins can also be used to organize your jewellery when you travel.
This can be used to make delicate bracelets, rings, and hoop earrings. It is easier to choose the right pair by getting a pin per pair.
15. Rubber bands
Use rubber bands or hair ties to hold the roll in place. You’ll be able to see that all your items are there waiting for you when you open the roll.
It’s great because it protects your pieces from dirt, scratches, and impacts.
While you fly, make sure to keep your jewellery in your carry-on luggage. You have a greater chance of losing your checked bag.
Remember to have fun and rest. Make sure that fashion jewellery is not too complicated so it doesn’t get lost.
