Laisimo Box Mod – Ultimate Review

The first impressions laisimo box mod:

The first thing that came out in the packaging of laisimo box mod was that it was certainly lighter than I expected, but it does not feel cheap. What is the weight you are asking (maybe you didn’t bother asking but I will inform you in any case) at the 168g mark without batteries, it’s lighter than the Wismec Reuleaux RX200S, which weighs 173g, the Lost Vape Triade at 191g, and The Snowwolf 336 (4) modification of the battery that weighs 180g. With (4) Sony VTC5A batteries weigh in at 360g, which isn’t too far from the Triade packed using (3) batteries, which weighs 335g.

The screen they used was the same as their Wyvern 235, which is a great thing. I really enjoy that color screen. It’s easy to see when in bright sunlight. I believe it’s one of the best screens for a mod, especially considering the price.

It’s pretty balanced like the photo. I removed all four batteries and took measurements of 3.83 as well as 3.84 for all four batteries. I repeated the measurement at another time, and it is discharging evenly the batteries.

Are they big enough? ….it holds four 18650 batteries, so yeah. They did an excellent job in keeping it as tiny as they could make it. There was a chance that I got at times

The interface is basically similar to that of its predecessor, the Wyvern 235 with the exception that the sigelei laisimo f4 includes the Power Bank mode (yes it is working and I was able to charge a different mod along with my mobile phone) the power screen of the battery I previously mentioned and a possibility to change the color of the Laisimo LEDs that are on the side.

Power Performance

There’s no tank that can take 360 watts, nor do I have a desire for one. It’s just not my design. I do have Melo 300 coils, which are classified as 300 watts. I’m sure they’ll do 250 watts, so I apologized to my stomach and tried the ……sigh. Then I compared it with my Triade DNA250 which is 250 watts. Both models were new off-the-charge Sony VTC5A batteries, which is a minimum of what is required to achieve the numbers. It was so hot that it was hard to make comparisons, however, I could manage 1-second draws with lots of clouds. From the maximum power, I could handle the sigelei mod F4 appeared to be an equal match. Then I switched to 300 watts, which was an ….idiot. With 300 watts of power on the F4, I could handle draw times of half seconds, however, not like the He-Man like 1 second draws I was doing in 250-watt capacity. It was possible that it was hitting 300 watts, I’m not able to say for certain, but it was certainly much hotter than 250. I’ll leave the tech specs for the oscilloscope to the experts such as @Anthony_Vapes as well as Daniel.

Some of the features are not available on laisimo, such as a preheat or power curve. I’m not sure how well-known they are, but it’s good to have them. I’ve found myself hitting a primer on a cold tank in order to make sure the coil is heated prior to taking a draw. it could be lessened by a preheat. All was not bad with a very short delay to fire.

TCP Performance

In general, I’ve enjoyed Laisimo’s TTC performance over the years, including that of the Snowwolf 200W Plus, and the F4 was the same. It’s not as precise as a Yihi or DNA chip, but it’s pretty very close and delivers an extremely smooth and satisfying draw. At 430F, I was able to vape my cotton dry without burning hits generally. In a few instances with larger SS316L coils, I had to lower the temperature to as low as 415f, to prevent dry hits. My hypothesis is that this was occurring with larger Alien coils, and that they tend to slow down cooling and the F4 could have taken enough time to get into TC. For SS316L coils that are more common, I didn’t experience this issue. Some of them were quad core fused claptons , however they had a 30g core and the outer wrap being 40g.

There are two DIY modes that you can choose your own TCR. I didn’t go too deeply into that since my preset SS mode performed so well for me. However, in my small testing, it performed fairly well.

One thing I have found to be a huge negative is that the wattage limit is 120 in temp mode. It doesn’t make sense to me and at times I felt that I required more. I’m hoping that Laisimo engineers will be able to address this issue before releasing.

Battery Life

I had no issues about this, and I thought the laisimo mod made use of its (4) 2600mAh VTC5A batteries very well. I got 360 puffs of vaping from 120 and 135 watts, which is quite acceptable. When I write this, I am enjoying more than 500 puffs, using the combination of TC vaping and Power mode with 100 Watts. I took the batteries off and I measured 3.53V on 3. 3.54V on the fourth day, which is great and is still delivering a good strong vape. The side LEDs are on constantly, and I actually kind of like the side LEDs. You could get a longer time in your battery to turn them off, however.

The USB is able to charge the batteries but personally, I wouldn’t recommend the device. I didn’t try to completely charge my batteries with the mod however I did notice an increase in volts after plugging it in for a short time as it performed a good job. With no passthrough, once plugged in to charge, you are unable to smoke a cigarette, which is sensible IMO to use a device this large.

It is possible to use the battery banking feature. will work, you just need to hold the – and + for 2 seconds in order to access the mode menu. Scroll until you come to the power bank icon and then press the fire button, and the small LED that is located to the left on the USB interface will light up. I could charge a different mod, and my phone, which could prove useful. It’s not possible to vape when the mod is used as an energy bank. You must choose either phone or vape, either phone or vape ……just be in silence for a while and vape . …. Priorities…haha

Pros

  • The only regulation-based mod I’ve found that can accommodate 41mm tanks is the one with no extra-widening other than custom modifications. This mod, called the Hammer of God Mechanical mod, will work with 41mm tanks too.
  • Fantastic TC performance
  • Excellent battery life
  • Secure 510
  • Accurate ohm reading
  • There is no button to rattle
  • Large, easy-to-read color screen
  • Menus that are easy to navigate
  • Option to power bank
  • The 4 batteries discharge evenly.

Cons

  • The most common scam is asking if the atomizer is an atomizer that is new
  • The battery door has a tiny flexible
  • Limits on Watts to 120 in TC mode.
  • The LED on the other side of my beta pre-release would be turned off and then come back at a random time
  • It is possible to be teased for carrying an empty fridge around, but you can explain to them you’re a MAN with hands!
  • No preheat settings

Conclusion

Be aware that I received an alpha version, and the Laisimo F4 engineers continue to work on the F4 as of the time of this review an official release date is unknown. However, I am a huge fan of the F4. If they can improve the atomizer control and get rid of the limitation of 120W when in the TC mode, that will suffice for me. Of course, if they could fix all of the issues I discovered I’d purchase another immediately, and perhaps I’ll take the plunge when the first two issues have been addressed.

I would like to express my gratitude to Laisimo to send me the F4 to test, it will join the other four Laisimo mods I have purchased and am enjoying in my collection. Euvaper has laisimo f4 in stock.   We ensure better deals than volcano vape shop so don’t miss out.
