- Avoid showering or applying any cream or lotion within the two hours of your tan. Your skin has to be squeaky clean the day before your spraying. Lotions act as a barrier on your skin that hinders the development of the process.
- The best time to get done with your spray tan is two days before your photoshoot session. Also, experts recommend that you get an organic spray tan done as it has an extremely natural finish and will not look patchy.
- Avoid taking a shower and doing exercise unless and until your spray tan has fully developed. Your tan requires at least 8 to 12 hours to settle and develop on your skin. Therefore, if you want to shower before bed, try to schedule your appointment early in the day.
- You can take a nice relaxing shower once your spray tan has fully developed. Post shower, do not rub your body with the towel and instead pat it dry. This way, your tan will be locked in your skin and will look great all over.
- Apply tons and tons and tons of moisturizer! Do not forget this step, despite the UV-free spray tanning; your skin may turn dry. What should you wear after the tanning session?
You need to prepare accordingly. A lot of times, spray tans are ruined because of the wrong choice of clothes. You can wear a loose t-shirt or a button-down shirt with loose pants or shorts. One of the best things that you can wear is a strapless sundress. Avoid wearing any bras, spandex, jeans, leggings, gym pants, or yoga pants. There should be no tight elastic around your waist.
When it comes to your footwear, there will be a big no to your socks and sneakers. Flip flops will be the best footwear you can wear. In case it is raining, umbrellas will not do the job of protecting you from getting wet when you have just stepped out of the tanning salon near you. also, water can splash up from your flip-flops and get your legs wet.
